On Old and New Jacobi Forms

Certain “index shifting operators” for local and global representations of the Jacobi group are introduced. They turn out to be the representation theoretic analogues of the Hecke operators Ud and Vd on classical Jacobi forms, which underlie the theory of Jacobi oldand new-forms. Further analogues of these operators on spaces of classical elliptic cusp forms are also investigated. In view of th...

Applications of quadratic D-forms to generalized quadratic forms

In this paper, we study generalized quadratic forms over a division algebra with involution of the first kind in characteristic two. For this, we associate to every generalized quadratic from a quadratic form on its underlying vector space. It is shown that this form determines the isotropy behavior and the isometry class of generalized quadratic forms.

Multilinear forms which are products of linear forms

The conditions under which, multilinear forms (the symmetric case and the non symmetric case),can be written as a product of linear forms, are considered. Also we generalize a result due to S.Kurepa for 2n-functionals in a group G.

The Role of Algorithmic Applications in the Development of Architectural Forms (Case Study:Nine High-Rise Buildings)

The process of developing architectural forms has greatly been changed by advances in digital technology, especially in design tools and applications. In recent years, the advent of graphical scripting languages in the design process has profoundly affected 3D modeling. Scripting languages help develop algorithms and geometrical grammar of shapes based on their constituent parameters. This stud...

Some Old Problems and New Results about Quadratic Forms

190 NOTICES OF THE AMS VOLUME 44, NUMBER 2 Introduction It may be a challenging problem to describe the integer solutions to a polynomial equation in several variables. Which integers, for example, are represented by a quadratic polynomial? This question has a rich and complex history, and the theory it has motivated is still flourishing today. My aim in this article is to describe some recent ...
